Exhibition – 30 Years of Liberation: Empire, apartheid and the fight for democracy in South Africa
This new free exhibition explores the legacies of colonialism, coinciding with the centenary of The British Empire Exhibition that was held in Wembley Park in 1924 and 1925.
Local heritage is presented alongside the work of South African artist Gareth Erasmus, who’s work explores decolonisation as a central theme. His work challenges dominant and exclusionary narratives of African and ‘coloured’ identity within the South African context.
